Fairly short ride that I completed but for some reason I did not get credit for all the rides. - Back in the 70&#39;s &amp; 80&#39;s there would be a dusting of snow now and then and a good couple of inches once every ten years or so. Last time I saw snow in Aptos was about 20 yrs ago coming home from a trip down south at about 3AM. Snow was falling. Hwy 1 was being plowed from Freedom Blvd to Sea Cliff. It looked to be a mix of snow and hail. Rained about sunrise and all was gone soon after.

That's classic! I once made the mistake of casually challenging a friend to 1000m race on a pair of rowing machines when we were at the gym together one day. We absolutely killed ourselves sprinting to win. We were breathing heavily for about a minute afterwards with no air to talk. The first thing my friend said was "Why did we do that?" Needless to say we got a good workout at the gym that day. 'Friendly competition' is quite the motivator.
