At Love to Ride we fully support the Government's advice to stay at home to slow the spread of Coronavirus. All nonessential outings are to be avoided. Only essential travel is now permitted. You can still go out to pick up groceries, medicine or take care of essentials such as banking or visiting your doctor or exercising to stay healthy. People working in 'essential' industries can also travel to/from work but they're advised to avoid congested public transport.

The San Diego County Bicycle Coalition encourages #LifeByBike - to ride your bike as your main mode for essential travel and as a fun, enjoyable form of exercise.  When riding in San Diego County, here are a list of National, State, County and City parks and public spaces and their open/closed status.  Californians can ... bike in their local neighborhoods as long as they continue to practice social distancing of 6 feet. During these unprecedented times, we appreciate that some people can’t go outside and ride a bike at the moment as they are in a high risk category as it relates to Covid-19. Therefore, we’re making an exception for March, April and May (and possibly longer TBC) that indoor rides on a stationary bike or trainer are OK to be logged on Love to Ride. This means they'll add to your rider stats and they’ll be included in our prize drawings

We still encourage everyone who is able to go out and enjoy a bike ride to do so at this time. Biking brings us so many benefits, including the health benefits and happiness of being out in the fresh air, exercising and feeling connected with the world around us.
