If you're a Nottingham City resident you can book yourself or your family for free cycle training at one of our Community Cycle Centres. The Community Cycle Centres run by local cycling charity RideWise are a fun and exciting way of learning how to ride safely and build your confidence. Nottingham Bikeworks are a non-profit local organisation working in communities to encourage as many people to hop on their bikes more. The Workplace Travel Service includes support for businesses in the city boundary to help employees find cheaper, quicker and greener alternative ways to travel to work. Our WTS active travel events package run by Sustrans and RideWise offers staff personalised travel plans that are tailored to their travel needs, cycle training by qualified cycling instructors, E-Bike try outs and free bike health checks to make sure bikes are ready for the road. In partnership with Nottingham City Council, RideWise are delivering an industry accredited cyclist awareness course for professional drivers in Nottingham. Combining theoretical and practical sessions, the course aims to normalise cycling as mode of transport, improve road tolerance and develop mutual understanding amongst all road users. Eligible applicants can also receive a bike and help with cycling skills and training in bike repairs with RideWise and Nottingham Bikeworks. Nottingham Bike Aid is a partnership between Nottingham City Council, Sustrans, RideWise and Nottingham Bikeworks to ensure Key Workers are able to travel safely during the pandemic.

Women in Tandem, a Nottingham based bike collective that aims to support women to cycle. Currently offer bike maintenance classes, group rides, free Dr Bikes and affordable bike repairs and servicing.
