#PedalForGood Trails & Parks Clean Up

September 1-30: Help Madison Parks and the City Traffic Engineering Division by cleaning up a trail or park! Before you head out for a bike ride, grab a few supplies, plot your course, and stop at a park or trail, picking up trash along the way. This is a solo project or done with members of your household only.

Use these online interactive maps to find a trail or park near you:

Place your filled trash bags at the edge of the park, near a paved path or in the trash can, if available. Be sure to follow up with an email to to alert us of the location and work completed.  We request all volunteers complete and submit the Volunteer Release Form. Send any photos as well - we love photos to share. Thank you in advance for keeping trails and parks clean! (Click here for more information)

#PedalForGood Community Food Drive 

September 1-30: Help us combat growing food insecurity in our region, which will impact over 24,000 more people in Dane County this year (a 63% increase over 2018). Donate food and supplies at participating bike shops throughout September! Donations will benefit the Community Action Coalition, which delivers to over 80 sites in Dane, Jefferson, and Waukesha Counties. Click here for a list of participating locations

#PedalForGood Bike Benefits Blitz

September 1-30: This year our local businesses need our support more than ever. That's why we're encouraging everyone to buy a Bicycle Benefits sticker and use this around town to get discounts at your favorite bars, restaurants, cafes, and more. Search for participating businesses in the Madison area (including businesses in Fitchburg, Sun Prairie, and Verona), then hop and your bike and pay them a visit!

Pick Me Up at the Border! Fundraiser Ride  

Friday, September 11, 7PM: Fundraiser ride hosted by Bike Fitchburg. Safety measures will be in place. The ride leaves from 2995 Sub-Zero Parkway in Fitchburg at 7PM (click here for registration & safety info).

Madison Bike Week  

September 12-20: An annual celebration of bicycling in Madison, hosted by Madison Bikes (click here for more info and a list of activities).

Bicycle Fix-a-Flat Class (online) 

Tuesday, September 15, 7PM: Hosted by the UW-Madison and taught by India Viola, local bicycle advocate and educator. Learn what you need to fix flat tires with confidence in this in-depth flat fix clinic for front wheels! There will be lots to learn for both beginners and experienced flat-fixers. Follow along on your own bike or with your own front wheel. Limited to 12 attendees, with a waitlist available (Register Here).
