Cycles Recycled is a Community Interest Company located in Clitheroe; run as a social enterprise to assist more people to cycle. The company was formed in 2010 and is at the forefront of cycle promotion, recycling, repair and refurbishment. Their large showroom in Clitheroe offers the ultimate "cycling hub" where the whole family can get cycle ready! Prices start at £30 for children's bikes and £60 for adult bikes. They accept all types of bike donations to refurbish and then rehome them. Any bikes that cannot be rehomed are recycled into new products such as bags, chairs and wall hangings. Recovery Rides for Mental Wellness

From Friday 3rd February 2023, Elisha House will be offering Recovery Rides, every Friday and Saturday until 5th May. The rides aim to promote mental wellness through outdoor activity. They are a chance to get some gentle exercise, fresh air and social contact with other people, so are not physically demanding.

Further details: 

  • Sessions are¬†FREE¬†to attend
  • Rides are led by a qualified instructor
  • Planned to last for up to 2hrs, including stops.
  • Rides start from Elisha House recovery community
  • Bikes and helmets can be loaned, by prior arrangement
  • Routes are¬†generally flat and traffic-free

Improver Rides for Beginner Riders

Between March and June 2023, Breaking Cycles CIC are offering improver/beginner rides, aimed at building riders' confidence, fitness and knowledge of routes. Above all the sessions will be fun!

  • Meet likeminded people, who you want to continue riding with
  • Develop safe riding strategies
  • Gain confidence
  • Learn about group cycling
  • Find out about local cycling clubs
