Will I or won't I? The well known Gladfield ford on the Taieri Plain south of Dunedin had plenty of water gushing through today but after a close inspection and a 20 year relationship with the crossing I decided it looked OK today. If there's lots of soft gravel in the middle it can grinding to a sudden halt, sending the rider flying into the Silver Stream. I breezed through and didn't even get my shoes wet.
