John PrivettI keep the Imperial 'decades' in the back of my mind, Rob! So I won't stop on exactly 80 km, but I'll continue to 80.5 km to get the 50 miles. Similarly, if I'm over about 62 km I'll usually (time permitting) go on to 64.4 km to get the 40 miles. π Of course, it works the other way too, so if I've continued to 48.3 km (to get 30 miles) I'll usually go on to get the 50 km too!
Rob WormaldRemarkable coincidence for someone who cycles metrically π
Rob WormaldGetting into a nice routine Johnππ»
John PrivettThree completely different routes, Rob. Just a bit of a coincidence that they ended up on almost identical distances!
Rob WormaldMaybe you have a subconscious affinity with 33.6?π
John PrivettI record in km, Rob. And 33.6 miles is just over 54 km. I tend to like "round numbers" π so if my distance is going to end in .8 or .9 I'll continue to the next whole number. But I also tend to avoid odd numbers (don't ask!) My final (?) oddity is that if I get to 90 km on a ride I'll nearly always continue to 100+ km. I've done 100+ km 61 times, but only once ended a ride in the 90's km. π
