NEW DATE: Bike Rave Ōrākei Basin Edition feat. Dan Aux

About this event

The most fun you can have on two wheels, we’ll be dressing up, strapping sound-systems to our bikes and taking an evening cruise along the fancy new Ōrākei shared path, ending up at a silent party next to the water at Ōrākei Basin.

Your DJ for the evening will be none other than George FM’s own Dan Aux. Dan’s been moving dancefloors for well over a decade - he’s played the country’s biggest festivals and dancefloors, shared the DJ booth with some of dance music’s brightest stars, and has even remixed the legendary Fatboy Slim.

Smear your Mea map

About this event

Ride for Talei is happening again, with riders cycling over 800 km from Wellington to Te Matatini festival to raise awareness of the need for cervical screening. The campaign was first established in 2017 when Talei Morrison was diagnosed with cervical cancer, sadly passing in 2018 at 42 years old.

There are many reasons why some may miss getting their smear, but getting it done is so important. Thats why the Smear your Mea van will be travelling through the North Island offering cervical smears this February. Come along on your bike and have your smear, support the kaupapa through koha to Smear your Mea charitable Trust, orĀ find us on the road or Te Matatini Festival.Ā

Get on your bike and catch the van at the dates and locations listed above and visit the Facebook page for more information.
