đČ Ride anywhere, anytime during February
đȘ” Log your ride here or connect your favourite cycling app (Strava or MapMyRide)
đ Your bike rides earn points and the more points you have the higher your chances of winning prizes
đ Earn BIG points by encouraging others to take part
đ Workplaces compete against others in the local area to top the leaderboards
Individuals earn points through:
â Riding
â Encouraging others to ride - (learn more about encouraging)
Workplaces earn points through:
â Their staff! Your workplace points will be the sum of all points earned by every employee taking part at your company on Love to Ride
You don't have to be a bike commuter to take part - all types of rides count towards your team's score!
 Â
There are thousands of dollars worth of prizes up for grabs, from gift cards to a holiday! Some are awarded for riding and some are awarded for encouraging.
When you ride a bike in the Aotearoa Bike Challenge youâre not just riding towards prizes and leaderboard wins, youâre helping to make a difference. Every ride logged on the site or through an app contributes to anonymised bike data that town planners can use to make your area better for bikes. How cool is that?
And thereâs more! During the Aotearoa Bike Challenge, if you help other people to get involved, youâre helping to make a positive impact on your local area, and bike riding in general. More people riding means more data and more power to create bigger change. Plus, we give away prizes to people that encourage others. Itâs a win, win, win!Â

Challenge wrap-up
The Aotearoa Bike Challenge finishes on February 29th. After that we give you 72 hours to log your remaining February rides. This is a good opportunity to check your profile and make sure everything looks good before results are finalised! Make sure it's all logged before 11:59pm on 3 March. After 3 March, the Love to Ride team will go into full audit mode and check all of the leaderboards and then announce the amazing local and national Aotearoa Bike Challenge winners!Â
