Bike the Bays with Frocks on Bikes – Sun 1 Feb

Join Frocks on Bikes for a stylish spin around Wellington’s bays! Celebrating everyday cycling in whatever you love to wear, this social ride blends fun, fashion, and fresh air. Frocks on Bikes events promote “normalising everyday cycling” by encouraging riders to ditch the lycra and enjoy biking in their own style, making cycling more welcoming and accessible for all. 


Go By Bike Day with WCC and friends (Poster Promo) - Tue 10 Feb

A Wellington favourite, Go By Bike Day invites riders to start their morning with a fun, free community event on two wheels. Organised by Wellington City Council and partners, this day includes a friendly meetup with some kai, opportunities to connect with fellow cyclists, and a chance to celebrate the joy and convenience of biking to work. Queens Wharf, 7.30am - 9am. Bike or no bike, everyone is invited! 


Guided Rides with Pedal Ready – throughout Feb (Karori, Kilbirnie & Island Bay)

Pedal Ready’s guided rides offer supportive, confidence-building sessions across several Wellington suburbs. Led by experienced instructors, these rides help participants build skills, gain confidence on local streets, and learn safe riding techniques. Perfect for anyone wanting to grow their riding ability in a friendly, structured environment. We have three rides happening in Feb!


Cuba Street Summer Series: Fringe on the Street Bike Valet – Sun 15 Feb

Roll into the Fringe on the Street festivities without worrying about where to park your bike. The Bike Valet service offers safe, convenient, and friendly parking right in the heart of the action. Just drop your bike with the valet team and dive straight into the vibrant Cuba Street atmosphere, knowing your wheels are in good hands. We'll also have opportunity to fix an bike niggles and 529 Garage registrations.


Cuba Street Summer Series: PickPath Ride Experience – anytime in Feb

Discover Fringe on the Street in a whole new way with the PickPath Ride Experience - The Mini Lives of Minikins. This interactive cycling adventure lets you explore creative prompts, playful routes, and festival highlights as you pedal through the city. Designed to spark curiosity and fun, PickPath turns your ride into a choose‑your‑own‑journey experience woven into the energy of Cuba Street’s Fringe celebrations.


Mobile BikeSpace bike maintenance workshop – Karori, Tue 24 Feb (EventFinda listing coming soon!)

Bring your bike and learn essential maintenance skills at this hands-on session hosted by the Mobile BikeSpace team. Whether you need simple fixes or want to boost your mechanical confidence, the workshop provides tools, guidance, and practical support. Mobile Bikespace regularly hosts free maintenance workshops across Wellington, helping riders learn to look after their bikes.


Wellington MTB Festival – Fri 27 Feb–Sun 1 Mar

The Wellington MTB Festival brings together mountain bikers of all ages for a weekend of trail exploration, skill sessions, and community events. Expect challenging rides, family-friendly activities, and a celebration of the region’s incredible off-road cycling culture. Whether you're a seasoned rider or new to the trails, the festival showcases the best of Wellington mountain biking.


Cuba Street Summer Series: PARK(ing) Day – Sat 28 Feb

See Cuba Street transformed as PARK(ing) Day turns ordinary car parks into pop‑up parks, art installations, and creative street spaces. Take your bike through Ghuznee and Vivian Streets to explore playful, thought‑provoking mini‑parks crafted by local artists, performers, and community groups - showcasing how people‑focused streets can spark imagination and connection.
