Wow, thanks for sharing your moving story. I was diagnosed with Parkinsons four years ago. I too have trouble walking and coordination at times. Those limitations along with the pandemic have ended my lifelong basketball career. Though I can still ride a bike I bought an Ice Adventure recumbent trike with an electric assist motor. I can't stay off it I ride without the motor or with it on the lowest setting as much as possible. This is a beautiful, expensive machine, one can obtain an recumbent trike for a lot less. If your balance challenges advance, as mine may, you might consider a trike. As well as the workout I love exploring and riding through nature. There's an beautiful, 25 mile long Greenbelt in Boise and lots of trails too. Good luck!

I was hit in October and have stopped commuting as a result. Inattentive driver. I was lucky as it was a sideswipe and I did not go under the vehicle. I've come to the conclusion, for me anyway, the risk is not worth the reward. I miss commuting, but I'll do my riding on bicycle trails and perhaps some group rides. I'm 58 and recovery has been slow.

It's great when a bird appears to fly beside us as we ride,barn owls,rooks and occasionally buzzard's seem to follow you for several hundred metres without being spooked by us. It's always a wonderful experience!

Went on a Sunday Coastal Ride from Solana to Carlsbad with my adventure partner Theo! It was a beautiful day and as always the scenery was beautiful.
