I have a fairly heavy cargo bike and when I first bought it I had a scare like this, I now go a lot slower on hills, brake gently but often to control my speed. I used to be worried about annoying people in cars cause I was going slowly but honestly, 30 seconds longer to ensure your safety is nothing. Also when you break try to shift your weight back and not forwards, it will help the back wheels stay in contact with the road

When I want inspiration to head out on a solo ride I choose somewhere I would like to have a picnic. I check the map, plan a route using quiet lanes, pack some food and head out on a mini adventure.

5km walk and it took my about an hour (short legs).

I ended up taking the bus home.

Overall, I did 15K steps that day!
