I think I did to much the 106 miles was hard but I want to prove I still can at 67 took me all day started at 6am stopped every two hours until 3:40pm. I will not be doing it again

Perhaps you could arrange a lunchtime ride and then help folks create a profile and log the ride right then and there? Is there another organization you could try competing with? Maybe that would help stoke the flame a little. Props to you for continuing to try... they'll come around!

It will be more or less my first day back in the office later this month (Feb 2022) due to COVID restrictions at work. Previously I had parked my car at The Hawthorns, bought a train ticket but cycled in to work instead. I am now told that you must use public transport if parking at The Hawthorns. I don't mind paying to park but surely you must be able to park and cycle without the threat of being chased for a speculative invoice. Any way, I found that "Just Park" can be used to book a parking space at Asda at Great Bridge. From there I can pick up the Walsall canal and join the Birmingham canal and carry on with my usual route.
