Jersey Sport are running various sessions to help you build skills and confidence, and get the community riding.
Cycle Mechanics Basics
This course will help you get to know cycles inside and out. You’ll discover how different parts of the bike work together, learn to check if a cycle is safe to ride, and practice essential skills such as performing an M check and fixing a puncture.
This course is primarily “hands on” and attendees will be expected to get stuck in - hands will get dirty and greasy!
Open to anyone age 10+ (under 13s must be accompanied by an adult)

Tailored sessions to match your needs and boost your confidence. Choose 1-to-1 or bring a friend/colleague for 2-to-1 support. Adult and child sessions available for the school run and onwards to work. Practical tips and guidance to make commuting by cycle easy and enjoyable.

Bike Bus Leader Training
Bike Bus Leader Training will equip you with all the skills and information to prepare you to lead a Bike Bus in your local area.
The training provides the knowledge and practical experience needed to support or lead a Bike Bus — a means of transporting a group of riders, typically children riding to school, on cycles, with pick up points along the way.

Book a 15-minute slot at these free pop-up bike clinics, where a qualified local bike mechanic will give your bike a once over.
The next clinics will be scheduled for Spring 2026 at a variety of locations around the island. Clinics will be announced in the new year.

This four-week cycling programme aims to take riders from 16km – 28km, whilst improving their confidence on different routes and terrain.
Move More Adult Learn to Ride is FREE and for beginner riders who cannot yet pedal a bike or are extremely unconfident in doing so. The sessions start from the very basics of preparing yourself and the cycle, getting on and off and progressing towards learning how to balance and pedal independently.

A six-week cycling programme for Islanders who may have learnt how to ride a bike but may need some support to feel more confident when riding.
