Cost per Participant - £6.00

Our sessions are based at the tennis courts at Woodford Park Leisure Centre, and focus on learning the basic skills of cycling. Sessions are aimed at beginners who have never learnt to ride a bike, and those who haven’t been on a bike for a long time. You can borrow a bike but you need to provide your own helmet.

Aimed at those who have attended our beginners sessions and are ready to move on to the next stage (also those who haven't been on a bike for a long time but feel confident with the basics). You can borrow a bike but you need to provide your own helmet.

Regular Training

  • FREE Balance Bike Clubs (FBC on Wednesdays and Woodford Park Leisure Centre on Thursdays during term-time)
  • Learn to Ride (FBC on Wednesdays and Woodford Park Leisure Centre Thursdays during term-time - £6.00 per session)
  • Woky Wheels 4 All (FBC) - Cycling is for everyone! Come and try out our recumbent tricycles - perfect for anybody with balance or mobility issues.  We also have standard two-wheeled bicycles to borrow.  These FREE sessions take place on Thursday mornings at 10am and 11am.

Wokingham Bikeathon

Time:  Registration from 8.15am until 10.30am

Date:  Sunday, 26 June 2022

Venue:  The event will start and finish at Cantley Park, Wokingham, RG40 5QG

Routes

There will be choice of three routes to suit all abilities and ages:  15 miles, 25 miles or 35 miles (all with drinks stops and toilets). Bring your family or ride with your friends. Refreshments, other activities and attractions will also be at Cantley Park at the Bikeathon start/finish.

Cost

  • 18 years and over £15 plus optional £3 for sustainable medal
  • 12 to 18 year old riders £3 including sustainable medal
  • Under 12 year old riders are free and can collect a sustainable medal
  • Entry on the day will be £20 for 18 years and over and £5 for 12 to 18 year old riders
  • Riders under 12 years old are free

My Journey have sponsored the medals which are biodegradable with wildflower seeds embedded into them.  Afterwards they can be planted in your garden or flower pots.

E-Bike Event

Electric Bike Event at Wokingham Bikeathon

My Journey Wokingham and Wokingham Town Council will also be holding an e-bike (electric bike) event at the Wokingham Bikeathon.  There will be e-bikes available for you to try out!

The bookable slots to try an e-bike are fully booked however after 11.30am you can just turn up and try an e-bike - maybe after you've taken part in the Wokingham Bikeathon! 

The e-bikes have been very kindly provided by Velospeed and AW Cycles.
