Community Clubs

New community cycling clubs are being set up across Southampton to offer sustainable cycling opportunities. The Community Cycling Clubs allow local residents to take part in cycle based activities in a fun, friendly environment.

A community cycle club represents a group of people who organise and participate in regular cycling activity for the benefit of their existing members or as a service to the wider community.

The cycling club can choose to do any bicycle based activity. It can be on-road, off-road, cycle maintenance or even arts based. The community cycling clubs are open, welcome environments for all, regardless of cycling experience.

The clubs are on the lookout for volunteers, particularly to lead rides or to help with cycle maintenance. In return for your time and support the club can provide you with free training. If you would be interested in volunteering or are part of a community group that would be interested in setting up a community cycling club, we would love to hear from you.
