Good for you, bad for the environment. And by the way, when I had battery-powered lights they tended to die on me when I needed them most. With modern generators in the wheel hub there is always light and it's not the least bit complicated, you don't even have to switch them off or on, just let them shine whenever you ride. It doesn't get any easier and cleaner. Nothing to bin, no chemical battery waste, nothing to remember to switch off when ariving, etc....

Worn out the freewheel and chain, so went to fit new and found the axle had broke, must be good quick release to hold it all together. so 4,500 mile on the axle. had to nip to bike shop bought axle... read more
