Here are some great options to get access to a bike in ÅŒtautahi during the Challenge (and beyond!) Remember you only need to log 10 minutes riding in February to be in the draw for a bunch of fantastic prizes - the more you ride the more chances you'll have to win!
1. Buy a bike
One of the many fantastic bike shops in Christchurch will be happy to help. Find a local shop here. Many bike shops are happy for you to test ride different bikes before you make your final decision.
2. Visit RAD Bikes
Ōtautahi’s not-for-profit community bike workshop, RAD Bikes provides workshop spaces where everyone is welcome to help recycle and learn how to fix bikes for themselves or others.
Bikes, tools, parts and technical guidance are all provided onsite.
RAD also runs a range of mechanics courses along with community programmes and special bike-focused events.
More info on RAD's website here.
3. Hire a bike. Check out short and longer-term rental bike options here.
4. Use Christchurch’s public share e-bikes
Lime and Neuron have e-bikes available to hire by the minute. Details here.
For tips on choosing the right bike for you and getting good gear to make your ride a breeze, see Christchurch City Council's website here.
