We're delighted to partner with Workride, New Zealand’s ride to work benefit program, supercharging our two organizations that have a shared passion for growing the cycling community and empowering people to ride more often.
Workride is New Zealand’s ride-to-work benefit program designed to help businesses get more employees riding to work and living healthier lives.Through the program employees can acquire a new bike, ebike, or scooter benefit with a massive cost offset between 32-63% off the instore price.Â
Since the program launched in 2023, Workride has already supported over 800 Kiwi businesses to provide this benefit to their staff. Our team is excited about this partnership that incentivises healthier transport choices and we want our Love to Ride users to get involved in Workride to save big on their dream bike or e-bike!
Both programs are free-to-use bike benefits that allow you to offer a healthier, happier commute for your team. The key difference is how they are funded, which creates a choice between providing the absolute maximum saving for your employees or maximum financial flexibility for your business.
Funding model: The employer funds the benefit upfront as an operational expense.
Employee Savings: Delivers the absolute maximum possible offset of 32-63% for employees.
Early exit process: A departing employee is contractually required to settle the full outstanding balance from their final pay. Should any issues arise, Workride provides full support with our proven termination process, which can include recovering the equipment for reassignment or sale to recoup the remaining balance.
Best For: All employers, especially those committed to providing the best possible savings for their team.
Funding model: This program is fully funded by Workride, requiring no upfront payment from the employer and using simple monthly installments for billing.
Employee savings: Provides a decent 25-59% saving for employees. This is slightly reduced compared to the Max program because it includes the necessary costs for financing and administration.
Early exit process: Workride manages a flexible exit process directly with the employee, who has to return the bike for a reasonable return and delivery fee, or at the time of departure, request a settlement to keep it allowing Workride to recover any outstanding lease costs.
Best For: Approved Enterprise and Government organisations that require a low-risk benefit with predictable monthly billing and no upfront cash flow impact.
There is no better program on the market that has built the trust of almost 1500 organisations across New Zealand.Â
