Have dabbled in cycling on and off over many years however never managed to stick at it long enough to really improve. Finding a bunch of folks with a common interest in cycling was exactly the support I needed. Travelling further, building confidence, facing my nemesis in the shape of a hill, slowly learning a little more about bikes, all of this has helped me on my cycling journey. Would thoroughly recommend anyone out there even just a little interested in cycling – go seek out a group and enjoy the support and the fun that comes with every journey!

Fairly short ride that I completed but for some reason I did not get credit for all the rides. - Back in the 70's & 80's there would be a dusting of snow now and then and a good couple of inches once every ten years or so. Last time I saw snow in Aptos was about 20 yrs ago coming home from a trip down south at about 3AM. Snow was falling. Hwy 1 was being plowed from Freedom Blvd to Sea Cliff. It looked to be a mix of snow and hail. Rained about sunrise and all was gone soon after.
