Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund success
We are delighted to announce that CWAS Banchory has successfully received funding from the Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund for our eco-friendly project, CWAS Banchory. We have received £18,360 and as a result can now purchase a trishaw and a wheelchair transporter.
We would like to thank the Banchory Community and beyond for voting for us in the JTPB Fund. We’re proud to be among 37 inspiring, green projects funded across the North East of Scotland this year.
We can’t wait to bring our eco-friendly project to our local community and help build a greener, fairer future for Scotland.
Discover all the successful projects at jtpbfund.scot.
With the above funding secured, we would like to invite you to the CWAS Banchory launch event.
You will have the opportunity to hear how Cycling Without Age has grown globally, nationally and now locally, and what the plans are for CWAS Banchory going forward.

Community Bikes Culter have a small fleet of bikes including an e-bike and e-cargo bike available for the community to borrow for free! As part of this initiative, they are running monthly social rides for anyone to join in on. These will be easy rides aimed at people who are new to cycling or looking to build their confidence or just looking for others to ride with. People can join the social rides using their own bike or request to borrow one from the fleet. The aim is for these rides to be monthly going forward on a Saturday towards the end of the month - please check the following page for updates
